HOW WAS THE DISTILLERY STARTED? WHY ARE WE REDIVIVA?

Rediviva Distilling was developed in a repurposed building, originally
designed as a highly specialized facility for advanced materials manufacturing. Located along the Columbia River, Rediviva Distilling is named after the Columbia Rediviva. The first ship to sail up the Columbia River and give the river its name. The ship was originally named Columbia, but was badly damaged in a storm and rebuilt. After being rebuilt the ship was renamed Columbia Rediviva. The new name pertains to the Latin meaning of rediviva, which is rejuvenate or revive. The Columbia Rediviva was also the first American-flagged ship to circumnavigate the globe. Much like the Columbia Rediviva, our vision for Rediviva Distilling, is for one day to have our spirits and liqueurs circle the globe.

WHY ARE WE MAKING SPIRITS?

Capturing the essence of Washington agriculture to produce traditional spirits and new innovative products. Blending the art and science of distilling to expand the current craft distillery scene.
When customers imbibe our Brandy and Liqueurs they are transported to an orchard, vineyard, or favorite place linked to their memories.

REDIVIVA DISTILLING IS LOCATED NEAR THE COLUMBIA RIVER AND AN ENCAMPMENT OF THE EXPLORERS LEWIS AND CLARK.

The building and facilities were in more recent times at the fore front of development in the fields of solar energy, micro-electronics, lasers, LED lighting and related technologies. Rediviva Distilling seeks to continue this tradition of exploration, innovation, and development and establish the fore most facility of its kind for spirits derived from grapes, fruit and grains sourced from Washington State. Our spirits will reflect the essence and character of a diverse and productive land.
